Exercise 2.1.8

First we clear out the fractions from \(y=\frac{2}{3}x-\frac{3}{4}\) by multiplying both sides of the equation by the least common denominator \(12\) to obtain \(12y=8x-9\) which gives us the result \(8x-12y=9\) or the equivalent result \(8x-12y-9=0\).
